Incident: Colin needed stitches on his eyelid.
“I cannot begin to even express what a positive experience we had with Dr. Christy through Dr.STITCH. While no one wants to end up in the E.R., this was the most positive experience ever. We received a call from a friend that our 8-year-old son who was swimming there had a minor injury. After seeing him, we were pretty positive he was going to need stitches. We called PM Pediatrics and they said it was an hour and a half wait time. They were willing to see our son to determine if in fact he needed stitches. The doctor there said he needed stitches and we would probably want a plastic surgeon to stitch him up since it is on his eye. The nurse suggested Dr.STITCH. We were in Selden, NY and she said, “You may have to travel to Nassau county.” We got in our car and called Dr.STITCH. We ended up having to drive 30 minutes to Plainview Hospital. Upon arriving, we checked in, and as we were doing so, we were greeted by Dr. Christy. He said, “I’m going to go in the back and get ready and I’ll meet you there.” Check in was approximately 5 minutes and then we were walked to Dr. Christy. His bedside manner was wonderful. He was gentle and kind. He spoke to our son in such a caring manner. I was shocked that our 8-year-old did not have to be tied down. Dr. Christy numbed his eye and began stitching him up. It was amazing to watch him work. Our little guy did not move and did not cry. Within a few moments, the E.R. doctor came in and introduced himself, said he would begin our discharge papers, and once Dr. Christy finished, we were free to go. Dr. Christy finished up, gave our little boy a matchbox car and sent us on our way. We were out in less than 30 minutes. I was amazed how efficient and quick this was. I could not have been happier in such a horrible situation. I would highly recommend Dr.STITCH and Dr. Christy directly to anyone that is in need of a plastic surgeon.”
